Pre-requisite:
Current License From CANS in Hairstyling

Duration:
One day, 8.5 Hours

Description:
40% Theory and 60% Practical

Cost:
$280/student. Includes mannequin and necessary supplies. In salon also available with a $50 student discount for five or more stylists from one salon.

Required Supplies:
Each student is required to bring their own shears, razor and hot tools.

Theory Breakdown:

• rules and guidelines
• what judges look for
• outfitting your model
• technical cutting techniques
• color placement
• choice of fashion colors
• what to expect from the competition
• review of necessary tools
• review of what NOT to use
• creating an inspirational story board

Practical Breakdown:

• mannequin work
• cut, color and finish work
• group story board discussions
